Couples Counselling

Relationships aren’t always easy - even the strongest ones can hit rough patches. Whether you’re feeling disconnected, stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, or facing something specific like a major life change, couples counselling offers a space to pause, reflect, and rebuild.

At Calmer Counselling, I offer a safe, neutral ground where you and your partner can explore what's really going on, with honesty, respect, and without judgment. This isn’t about blame or taking sides. It’s about helping you both understand each other better, strengthen your connection, and make choices that feel right for you.

We might examine communication, intimacy, conflict, or trust, but we always go at your pace. I work with all kinds of couples in all kinds of circumstances, whether you're looking to stay together, separate well, or just understand each other a little more clearly.

Not just for couples in crisis

You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from couples counselling.

Couples can benefit from counselling if they are struggling with other issues such as bereavement, change or life-altering events such as serious illness

Sometimes, spending time with a professional and checking in with each other is the best investment you can make in your relationship.

Session Length and nature

I can only offer couples work in person

Owing to the nature of working with couples, more time is naturally necessary to enable meaningful work to take place. Sessions are typically 90 minutes long. At times, it may be necessary or appropriate for a couple to work as separate individuals during the course of therapy.

Price:

£110 per session (1.5 hours/Session).

Multiple sessions (up to 6) may be paid for in advance.

Payment can be made by bank transfer, and I ask that all sessions be paid for not less than 48 hours prior to an agreed session to secure the booking. Any cancellation within 48 hours before an agreed session is non-refundable.
